Pre-Care Instructions

Please read the following and follow as closely as possible.

✨ What should I expect during my PMU or paramedical tattooing service?

All permanent makeup and paramedical tattooing procedures typically require multiple sessions to achieve optimal, long-lasting results. A perfecting session is usually recommended 6-10 weeks  after your initial appointment. Some skin types, especially oily or textured skin, may require additional touch-ups.

Please note:

  • Color will appear darker and more defined immediately following your appointment.
  • Over the next 7 days, the pigment will soften and lighten by approximately 30-40%.
  • Redness and mild swelling may occur but typically resolves within a few hours.

💉 Does it hurt

We use professional-grade topical anesthetics to ensure your comfort throughout the process. However, sensitivity levels vary from person to person. Some clients feel no discomfort, while others may experience mild sensations.

💡 Pre-Appointment Guidelines

To ensure the best outcome and minimize risk of complications, please:

  • Avoid alcohol 24 hours prior.
  • Discontinue blood thinners (if medically cleared by your doctor).
  • Do not wax, tweeze, or thread the area beforehand.
  • Avoid retinoids, AHA products, and exfoliants for 2 weeks.
  • Avoid Botox treatments 2 weeks prior.
  • No tanning 7 days before.
  • If prone to cold sores (for lip blush or areola services), take an antiviral medication as prescribed.
  • Avoid chemical peels or laser treatments for at least 4 weeks before your service.

⚠️ Who is not a good candidate?

For your safety, we do not recommend permanent makeup or paramedical tattooing if you:

  • Are currently pregnant or nursing
  • Have active skin conditions near the treatment area
  • Are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation
  • Have liver disease or compromised immune function

Post-Care Instructions

Please read the following and follow as closely as possible.

✨ Aftercare Instructions

To ensure optimal results and proper healing, please follow these general post-care instructions for 7–14 days following your permanent makeup or paramedical tattooing service. These guidelines apply to all services performed at Kassthetics Studio, including brows, lips, areola restoration, and scar/stretch mark camouflage.

Detailed pre-care and post-care instructions will be emailed to you after booking your service.

🧴 General Healing Guidelines

You will be provided with a professional Aftercare Kit at the end of your appointment. This includes a healing ointment and cleanser to keep the treated area hydrated clean and protected.

  • Apply the ointment 2–3 times daily for 7–10 days or as directed by your artist.
  • Avoid letting the area dry out or form thick scabs.

🧼 Cleansing & Hygiene

  • Avoid water, soap, makeup, or skincare products on the treated area for the first 24–48 hours.
  • After 48 hours, you may gently cleanse around the area with a damp paper towel or cotton pad. Avoid rubbing or submerging the area.
  • When showering, keep your face/treated area away from direct water pressure and avoid excess steam.

  • Wear a hat or large sunglasses to protect the area from the sun.
  • Avoid tanning beds, prolonged sun exposure, or UV rays for at least 14 days.

  • Applying makeup directly on or over the treated area
  • Picking, scratching, or peeling the skin
  • Dirty environments or dusty household cleaning
  • Alcohol in excess (slows healing)
  • Driving with open-air vehicles (bikes, motorcycles, boats)

Mild itching, dryness, or flaking is normal during healing. These symptoms typically resolve within 7–10 days with proper care.
